Rick Pierce (LCPC, NCC) is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and received his Masters in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University. He also completed significant graduate work from Covenant Seminary. Rick is known for a compassionate, pastoral care for his clients while maintaining a loving willingness to speak important words of truth. He brings his relationship with the Lord into sessions and actively seeks to lead people to the true heart of God as is told to us in the Bible. He and his wife have been married for 21 years, and together they have six children ranging from 5 to 18 years old.
Prior to his career in counseling, Rick served as the Director of Conference Ministries for Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. His responsibilities took him all over the country planning and hosting events for men, women, pastors and married couples. It was through these ministry engagements and a growing mentor relationship with Dr. Gary Chapman that the Lord began to birth a desire to serve the Kingdom through restoring broken relationships.
Rick is best known for his work with couples but helps in all of these areas:
Marital Distress, Premarital Counseling, Sexual Addiction and Pornography, Sexual Dysfunctions in Marriage, Depression, Anxiety, Abuse Recovery, Grief and Loss, Major Transitions in Life, Processing the Past, and Getting to Understand Yourself Better.
Over the past ten years, Rick has had the pleasure of working with ministry couples through a partnership with PastorServe, where he serves as their resident Counselor to Pastors.
Although Rick has six children, he generally refers counseling for minors. There are many counselors who are better trained in this area of focus.
